As the Sr Analyst - Revenue Assurance, you will perform revenue assurance activities that support billing accuracy, revenue integrity, risk mitigation, and operational effectiveness. This role provides analytical support for business initiatives, revenue-impacting changes, validation activities, reporting, internal controls, and process improvement efforts while serving as a subject matter expert on billing and revenue assurance matters.

 

This position has the ability to work remotely in any of the 40+ States in which TDS Telecom operates.

Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis of billing, revenue, customer, product, and operational data to identify risks, exceptions, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Conducts billing validation, testing, monitoring, and reporting activities to support billing accuracy and revenue integrity.
  • Provides revenue assurance support for business initiatives, product, pricing, promotional, system, and other revenue-impacting changes. Assesses impacts, supports intake and review activities, and validates outcomes before and after implementation.
  • Maintains documentation, control evidence, and supporting records related to revenue assurance activities. Assesses controls and recommends enhancements to strengthen compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Provides revenue assurance expertise, analysis, recommendations, and business impact assessments to stakeholders. Communicates revenue assurance risks, issues, trends, and outcomes to support decision-making. Provides guidance, training, knowledge sharing, documentation support, and assistance with special projects and other assigned responsibilities.
  • Identifies and supports opportunities to improve processes, reporting, controls, automation, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience.
  • 3+ years of finance, billing, revenue assurance, analytics or business operations.

Other Qualifications

  • Telecommunications, wireless, or customer lifecycle experience preferred.
  • Experience with SQL, Excel, database tools, reporting tools, visualization tools, or other data analysis technologies preferred.
  • Understanding of internal controls, SOX/ICAS requirements, audit readiness, remediation planning, or financial control environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities, evaluate alternatives, and support practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Experience identifying and supporting automation opportunities, tool enhancements, reporting improvements, or workflow redesigns that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, strengthen controls, and increase scalability.
  • Advanced experience performing data analysis, building queries, validating results, and interpreting data to identify trends, exceptions, risks, root causes, and business impacts.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, or analyzing KPI reporting, anomaly reporting, exception reporting, dashboards, or trend monitoring to identify revenue assurance risks, recurring issues, control gaps, and business impacts.
  • Experience performing bill testing, release readiness validation, post-release bill validation, or analysis of billing outcomes, system changes, rate changes, and customer-impacting billing initiatives.
  • Experience leading or supporting complex process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience independently assessing business risk, developing recommendations, and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and present recommendations to business stakeholders and leadership.
