TDS is seeking a dynamic and visionary Social Media Marketing Manager to lead our social media strategy and execution across all digital platforms. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling, a sharp eye for trends, and a data-driven mindset. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping how our brand shows up online—driving engagement, building advocacy, and positioning TDS as a thought leader in the telecommunications and technology space.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:
Content Strategy & Engagement

  • Develop and execute an integrated content strategy that blends brand storytelling, customer engagement, and product promotion.
  • Manage editorial calendars and campaign planning for timely, high-impact content.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce compelling multimedia assets.
  • Monitor trends and cultural moments to engage audiences in real time.
  • Evolve and maintain a consistent, authentic social media voice aligned with TDS’s brand identity.

Strategic & Thought Leadership

  • Build and implement a multi-year enterprise-wide social media strategy.
  • Drive initiatives that increase brand visibility, engagement, and customer advocacy.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders on social media trends and best practices.

Measurement, Insights & Optimization

  • Define and track KPIs across awareness, engagement, sentiment, and conversion.
  • Leverage analytics and social listening tools to optimize content and inform strategy.
  • Create dashboards and reports to communicate performance and insights to leadership.

Governance & Partnerships

  • Lead relationships with platform representatives, vendors, and agencies.
  • Oversee social media governance, compliance, and reputation management.
  • Implement annual policy training and contribute to policy development.
  • Ensure social media compliance and security programs meet SOX requirements.

Team & Process Development

  • Manage and mentor direct reports, fostering professional growth.
  • Develop processes to source localized content from Field Marketing teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) or 4+ years professional work experience.
  • 6+ years’ of experience in managing social media strategy, brand communications or digital marketing campaigns.

 

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to design and execute integrated social strategies that deliver measurable business results.
  • Deep understanding of emerging social trends, influencer ecosystems and digital engagement best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using social listening and analytical tools.
  • Preferred hands-on knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Experience in leading/managing CX/UX (customer experience/user experience) strategies, digital marketing, communication/content strategies, and digital analytics.
  • Advanced strategic planning and project management within marketing, advertising, and corporate communications, with a strong track record of leading complex, high-impact cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven thought leadership, initiative, decision-making, creative problem-solving abilities as well as guideance and mentoring skills.
  • Advanced presentation skills for findings, research, analysis, and information.
  • Significant experience leading complex, high-impact cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of media operations, specialized publications, and editorial practices.
