    Work Schedule: This is a year round internship and we require at least 15 hours per week during core business hours (Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm).

    Position Overview:


    The fourth industrial revolution is here.  We need excellent candidates to join our team to help us through the journey.  This position may include work in any of the following areas:

    • Database maintenance in Oracle, MySQL, or non-relational database systems
    • Data process or data architecture review with other senior members of the team
    • Data cleaning, profiling, or pre-analysis, often using spatial/GIS data or imagery
    • Data ETL tasks including scripting and automation, often using spatial/GIS data
    • Validating data through interactive quality measurement and subjective testing


    Knowledge, Skills, and abilities:

    • Passionate about digital transformation
    • Able to apply theory to everyday problems
    • Ability to program in Python (we all still google for help)
    • Familiar with the concepts of spatial data, including GIS systems
    • Feel comfortable with statistics and numerical methods
    • Desire to develop new skills quickly in a self-guided environment
    • Able to recognize and recover quickly from a dead-end
    • Have a basic understanding of SQL and database use


    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalency
    • Must be able to complete working hours between M-F 8-5pm
    • All working hours must be completed onsite in a TDS office location.
