    TDS Telecom is looking to hire a Payment Processing Intern! The position is responsible for supporting various payment-related activities of our wireline and cable business units. Under direct supervision this intern is responsible for assisting the Payment Center team in the execution of payment research, adjustment processing, daily reconciliations, and tasks to ensure the business unit complies with day-to-day operational requirements. This position can turn into a full time position for the right candidate! You will use tools such as: Office 365 (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, Access), SAP, Crystal Reporting, Right Now Web among others


    School is top priority so TDS offers very flexible schedules, while requiring you to work at least 15 - 30 hours per week.

    The Payment Processing Intern may have responsibilities in one or more of the following areas:

    • Payment Research
    • Daily Reconciliations
    • Adjustment Processing
    • Support billing activities such as entering key billing data into customer accounts
    • Track disputed accounts payable invoices
    • Prepare weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly reporting
    • Create and/or update process documentation
    • Gather data from various sources to optimize efficiency and quality reporting
    • Participate in cross-departmental projects
    • Be a part of and engage in team discussions


    Required Qualifications

    • Earned or currently pursuing an Associates Degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 1+ successfully completed semester(s) of degree related course work required

    Other Qualifications


    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail


    • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)

    • Experience with various software packages (i.e. Windows environment, Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, SharePoint, Yammer) with an aptitude to learn new systems with instruction

    • Inquisitive in nature; Always asking questions and wanting to learn

    • Able to identify process improvement opportunities and provide potential solutions

    • Good organizational skills; ability to deal with multiple tasks along with strict adherence to deadlines

    • Able to work both independently and on team assignments

    • Self-motivated – able to follow detailed instructions and document results

    • Solid work ethic and demonstrate ability to meet deadlines

    • Desire towards continual self-development – seeks new challenges and ways to learn new processes and skill sets

    • Consistently demonstrates a professional image and positive attitude

    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication
