    The Administrative Assistant provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support services to an organizational unit.  May assist in the preparation of records, statistics, and reports regarding operations, personnel changes, etc.  Administers programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the operating unit served.  May serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the Company regarding administrative issues.  Position, though clerical in nature, is not a secretary.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support services to an organizational unit. Administers programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the operating unit served. 
    • Assists in the preparation of records, statistics, and reports regarding operations, personnel changes, etc.
    • Assists with the publishing and maintenance of information on the Intranet for the various businesses of the department.
    • Cares for correspondence, filing, copying, sorting and prioritizing mail, mailings, order and stock office supplies. Makes meeting arrangements as necessary.
    • Performs general administrative duties as needed and assigned by the department.

     

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma.
    • 1+ years experience of MS Word and MS Excel.
    • 2+ years experience providing administrative office support.

     

    Other Qualifications

    • Two year diploma/degree in office administration/support.
    • Computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (word processing, spreadsheets, database, graphics, FrontPage and other hardware and software applications)
    • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
    • Organized, self-motivated, detail orientated, analytical, able to work with minimal supervision.
