    The Multi-Channel Outbound Sales Representative is responsible for handling outbound calls, our Chat channel, and sales leads generated from both the web and marketing campaigns.  They are responsible for educating them on current offerings of internet, TV, phone & other products/services available to them. 

     

    Selling is the primary function of this position.  Multi-Channel Outbound Sales Representative uses computerized system for tracking, information gathering, submitting orders, and/or troubleshooting.  They may need to answer customer inquiries and resolve problems. 

    Details:

    • Start Date:  Wednesday, January 30th.
    • 2 weeks of paid training at our Knoxville, TN headquarters (9:00am-6:00pm EST M-F).
    • Once training concludes, your shift would be 11:00am-8:00pm EST M-F. Shift shuffles and the option to work from home are both possible after successfully completing the introductory period!

    Compensation:

    • $45,000 average total compensation (base + commission), with top performers making $55k+
    • $1,000 sign-on bonus

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver sales results through providing exceptional customer service
    • Keeps current with promotions, products and technology necessary to exceeding or meeting sales goals.
    • Answer customer inquiries from the chat application as well as from all other social media channels including but not limited to email from the TDS website, Facebook, bloggers, and Twitter

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • 6+ months experience in a sales role
    • 2+ years experience using a PC with various software packages
    • Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines to meet our customers’ needs

    Other Qualifications

    • 6+ months experience in a fast paced environment managing multiple tasks
    • 6+ months experience working with detailed data
    • Ability to meet or exceed sales goals
    • 45 WPM
    • Regular attendance and promptness for work are essential functions of this position because absenteeism and tardiness significantly impact the ability of the Company and coworkers to meet our customers' needs.
    • Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls in a structured, contact center environment
    • Understanding of the telecommunication industry
    • Understanding of telecommunication products and services
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (i.e., verbal, written, listening)
    • Problem solving skills (i.e. customer complaints, competitive issues)
    • Successful completion of classroom training will be required
    • Demonstrated success in a competitive sales environment
    • Able to Work Overtime with Advance Notice
    • Ability to Work shift with ending time of  8:00 p.m. CST and a Saturday Rotation
