    TDS is currently seeking a full-time Receptionist.  This full-time position provides internal and external client-oriented phone coverage and company-wide paging; accurate, timely messages through automated technologies; greets visitors & directs vendor deliveries, maintains security by issuing temporary badges, follows procedures and monitors logbook. In addition, performs a wide range of administrative support.  The reception desk must be staffed at all times during the company’s hours of operation (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM M-F).

     

    Core Hours: 7:30am – 4:15pm M-F

    Starting Pay: $14.25/hr

    Responsibilities

    Receptionist Duties:

    • Provides internal and external client-oriented phone coverage and emergency assistance in a professional manner; maintaining an appropriate sense of urgency when required.  Acts as back-up support to the Receptionist Desk during other hours as needed.
    • Provides accurate, timely messages through automated technologies.
    • Promptly greets visitors and directs vendor deliveries.
    • Maintains security by issuing temporary badges, following procedures and monitoring logbook.
    • Assists as needed with scheduling of equipment, conference bridges, conference rooms and pool vehicles.
    • Monitors laptop sign-outs for late returns and schedules laptops for mandatory updates.
    • Assist with vending machine refunds and sale of stamps and movie passes.

    General administrative duties and project work as needed and assigned by the department including, but not limited to:

    • Back-up for Service Center to provide large scale copy jobs; back-up for Mailroom to ship and receive local company mail and packages.
    • Assist HR with new employee related on-boarding tasks.
    • Assist various TDS departments with administrative tasks, as needed.
    • Assist Facilities department with spot checks of conference rooms, vacant cubes/offices, other maintenance items.
    • Post and remove posters as requested.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • 1+ years of receptionist, customer service, and/or office support experience
    • 1+ years experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc) 

    Other Qualifications

    • Experience using general office machines; copiers, fax machines, and PCs.
    • Must possess the ability to learn new software packages.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Displays professional image, positive attitude, and the ability to develop productive relationships with clients, peers, superiors, subordinates, and vendors. Communicates effectively with all levels of management.
    • Effective written and oral communication skills.
    • Dependable and accountable; must be able to arrive to work on-time and stay through designated end time.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Responsive and proactive in carrying out necessary tasks. Works well independently, and is also cooperative in working with team assignments and activities.
    • Ability to prioritize competing demands and follow-through with completion of assignments with the willingness to work extra hours if needed.
