Overview

OneNeck IT Solutions is seeking top talent for an Engineer III – Network Voice or Engineer IV – Network Voice to provide advanced network implementation, support and troubleshooting services related to Cisco voice technologies in our Des Moines, IA location.

 

The Engineer III – Network Voice provides advanced network implementation, support and troubleshooting services related to Cisco voice technologies. Maintain constant contact with customer staff to ensure that services conform to customer requirements. Provide a broad range of services in the assessment of customer's data/voice network infrastructure requirements; including Cisco's Data Center products. Services provided include in-depth knowledge of the customer’s infrastructure and configurations. Engage with other divisional engineer resources to provide the appropriate resolution for our customers.

 

The Engineer IV – Network Voice acts as lead to provide advanced network implementation, support and troubleshooting services related to Cisco voice technologies. Maintain constant contact with customer staff to ensure that services conform to customer requirements. Provide a broad range of services in the assessment of customer's data/voice network infrastructure requirements; including Cisco's Data Center products. Services provided include in-depth knowledge of the customer’s infrastructure and configurations. Engage with other divisional engineer resources to provide the appropriate resolution for our customers.

 

Note:  This position may be hired at the Engineer III – Network Voice or Engineer IV – Network Voice level given the skills/experience of the candidate and business need.

Responsibilities

Engineer III – Network Voice:

  • Implementation and support of Cisco Collaboration technologies, including UCM, Unity, Unity Connection, UCCX, Meeting Server, Video and WebEx.
  • Research and engineer technology based upon capacity or functionality requirements. Implement tactical plans to meet the timelines and to ensure minimal disruption to the Customer environment. Assist with development of documentation for standards requirements within the department.
  • Provide accurate, clear, concise documentation and assistance to others within the department when required.

Engineer IV – Network Voice:

  • Lead complex projects, mentor junior team members, and assist with activities with customers. Research and engineer technology based upon capacity or functionality requirements. Implement tactical plans to meet the timelines and to ensure minimal disruption to the Customer environment. Assist with development of documentation for standards requirements within the department.
  • Provide accurate, clear, concise documentation and assistance to others within the department when required.
  • Implementing and support of Cisco Collaboration technologies, including UCM, Unity, Unity Connection, UCCX, Meeting Server, Video and WebEx.

Qualifications

Engineer III – Network Voice:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or 4+ years of professional work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting complex Cisco voice network.
  • Cisco Certification: CCNA within 1 year of employment.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, insurance, and have access to reliable transportation
  • Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations.

Other Qualifications:

  • Cisco Certification: CCIE – preferred.
  • Routing and Switching Background.
  • End-to-end QOS knowledge across a Cisco LAN/WAN infrastructure.
  • Security technologies.
  • IPT WAN design experiences a plus.
  • Skilled in using Visio and other network documentation software.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Complex network concepts and implementations
  • Ability to work on assignments that are complex in nature and where considerable judgment and initiative are required in implementation and problem resolution.
  • Project Coordination experience is a benefit.

Engineer IV – Network Voice:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or 4+ years of professional work experience.
  • 7+ years’ experience supporting complex Cisco voice network.
  • Cisco Certification: CCIE within 1 year of employment.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
  • Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations.

Other Qualifications:

  • Routing and Switching Background.
