The Customer Account Services Team in Billing Operations is looking for an energetic person with a strong commitment to customer service.  The Coordinator-Customer Account Services handles time sensitive billing activities that require manual intervention to assure the task is done accurately and completely for selected business segments which include TDS Telecom wholesale carrier access services, Zolo Media local advertising placement and OneNeck IT Solutions, hosted, managed, data center services.  Activities include:

  • provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers
  • calculating and entering charges
  • entering customer level data that drives billing
  • entering account maintenance information


Customer Account Services is the single point of contact for customers in the business segments it supports.  The Customer Account Services Team is responsible for providing excellent customer services to its internal and external customers and ensuring collection of revenue.  The team also supports projects which impact billing such as acquisitions, new products which require cross functional teams to implement, billing system enhancements and migrations, and other business initiatives.


This position interfaces on a regular basis with personnel from other Billing Operations teams, Sales, Sales Operations, Legal, Tax, and Accounting.



  • Perform basic accounts receivable tasks as assigned
  • Act as primary contact for basic customer questions, billing inquiries, and basic collection activities.  Escalates as needed.
  • Perform data entry tasks for account maintenance activities and projects as assigned to ensure accurate billing.
  • Research customer set up and maintenance issues and takes appropriate action; Escalates as needed. 
  • Perform manual billing processes.
  • Update process documentation as needed.



Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree or 2+ years of professional work experience

  • Experience with billing and/or collections preferred
  • Consistently demonstrates a professional image and positive attitude
  • Desires continual self-development -- seeking new challenges and ways to learn new processes and skill sets
  • Able to identify business process improvement opportunities and escalate for evaluation if applicable
  • Experience with computers and various software packages (i.e. Windows environment, Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and work with others in a team environment
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills; ability to deal with multiple tasks and finish tasks in a timely manner
  • Self-motivated – able to follow detailed instructions and document results
