TDS is seeking a talented, strategic leader to manage and drive the marketing communications for our business needs, located in our Madison, WI office.

 

The Creative Services Manager is responsible for the strategic direction and management of all customer sales and marketing communications for TDS’s consumer segment and business segments for both wireline and cable operations, as well as required communications.  As the lead in this function, this position manages a team of designers, copywriters, creative support staff, and external vendors responsible for:

  • Developing of copy and creative, message and design strategy to achieve company goals.
  • Managing the TDS brand(s) and graphic/advertising standards, and participating and contributing to brand strategy, management and execution initiatives.
  • Developing and implementation of product support materials including collateral and customer service communications.
  • Serving as a consultant for new customer acquisition and retention initiatives with the marketing and sales team.
  • Ensuring efficient scheduling and prioritization of marketing production to meet customer deadlines.
  • Developing process improvements and efficiencies in the workflow/production process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and direct TDS’s  creative direction for external and internal communications aimed at the consumer and commercial segments, including:
    • • Ongoing project management of all campaigns and projects.
    • • Branding and graphic/advertising standards for TDS.
    • • Creative development (concepting, copywriting, design, etc.) for radio, outdoor, print, direct response, outdoor and digital media for the commercial and consumer marketing teams.
  • Provide direction and supervise Creative Services staff including copywriters, graphic/motion graphics designers, videographers, creative traffickers, and external advertising agencies.
  • Serve as consultant for Product Management, Customer Care Operations, Consumer and Commercial Marketing in the development of customer acquisition and retention initiatives.
  • Provide marketing and creative direction to the Internet Marketing Team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for marketing activities to Call Center Operations Team.
  • Other duties as necessary to achieve company goals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field OR 4 + years professional work experience
  • 7 + years experience in sales and marketing, sales management, brand management, and/or consumer or small business service environment.

Other Qualifications:

  • 3 + years or related experience with electronic or print development and management
  • 3 + years of outside agency management or involvement with advertising
  • Familiar with inbound and outbound telephone sales or in store sales
  • Ability to plan and execute sales and marketing programs that will produce revenue and results
  • Ability to analyze sales programs for success, profitability and customer loyalty and satisfaction of product or service purchased
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work with employees at all levels
  • Previous management and supervisory experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of up-to-date telecommunications policies, standard practices, laws, regulations and proposed changes and the ability to apply them consistently
  • Strong computer skills (knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred).
